Earlier this year, Experts Exchange launched its first Scholarship Contest in order to support students as they pursue a higher education. Applicants submitted articles and videos on a variety of subjects, the community voted, and we have our first round of winners!
Read the winning articles and learn more about the authors!
Nathan has studied math, chemistry, and physics at Earlham College for the last three years. He plans to continue his education at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute this fall, and will eventually apply for a Ph.D program focusing on battery research and development.
“I’ve appreciated being a part of the Experts Exchange community and look forward to continuing to use the site as an educational and professional development resource. Thank you so much for honoring me with this award!”
Kiefer is studying Safety Management at Indiana State University, after which he hopes to find a career that makes he and his family proud.
“Thank you very much for your generous contribution to my financial aid via this scholarship!”
Third place and $500 goes to Paul Hogge for his article titled “If your Bitmoji isn’t a part of your everyday life…It should be. – A brief introduction to Bitmoji”
Paul is majoring in Public Administration at Harvard University, with hopes of becoming a city manager or small business owner. Over time, Experts Exchange has become his go-to resource for many of his technical issues.
“During the scholarship application process, [Experts Exchange] has been a pleasure to work with and has been a tremendous help. I look forward to the continued success of Experts Exchange and what lies ahead!”
Thank you to all of this term’s applicants for making it so difficult to select a winner.
As a reminder, the Winter Term Deadline for the next round of scholarship winners is December 31, 2016, so share this contest with the student in your life.
