There’s a bit of a rush that comes along with building a new marketing strategy. Once the idea has morphed into a tangible plan, we marketers usually can’t wait to get started. We oftentimes forget, however, that company decision-makers hold the purse strings to our budgets and when new strategies involve new initiatives and extra funds, we need their OK before we can begin plowing forward, full speed ahead.
Piece of cake, right? In our minds, a brand new strategy fueled by data and enthusiasm should automatically win the accolades and approval of the higher-ups in the company, but it’s not such a black-and-white transaction. We have to transfer our data, research, and hoped-for ROIs into digestible pieces of information built to win their approval.
